Castlemaine Health and Wellbeing Expo turns ten
9 August, 2010
Australians are increasingly seeking healthier and more fulfilling lifestyles, and the Castlemaine Health and Wellbeing Expo promises to be offer plenty of options. Whether you are looking for information or inspiration, holistic health or inner peace, the Expo may well be the place to spend an informative and helpful weekend.
This is its tenth year, and it is run by a not-for-profit organisation. There are no paid workers, and the money raised is used to give people a hand up. In past years some of the projects have been:
Seeds to East Timor farmers, and permaculture education.
Contributed to a Day Centre for the elderly and disabled Anungu people of Yulara (Uluru).
Tsunami relief. Assist with building funds for women’s centre in a village Sri Lanka, plus a lot more financial contributions to relief efforts around the world.
Attend the Expo’s most diverse lecture and workshop program to hear an inspiring line-up of guest speakers share their expertise and insight on various therapies, self-development practices, spiritual matters and general health and wellbeing.
Another highlight of this year’s Expo will be the Spiral Domes, where visitors can take a break, relax, meditate or be bathed in the atmosphere or peace and tranquillity.
With a hall full of exhibitors at the Expo, as you stroll up and down the aisles you will find an eclectic mix of progressive therapies, orthotics, beauty products, crystal jewellery, healthy living options, fitness and self-development practices as well as endless other ideas to experience and enjoy.
The generosity of exhibitors means you could win a healing session; soya Candles; One-Ki Treatment Voucher; Self Help Books; Crystals; Shiatsu Treatment; Spa Detox Pack; Natural Hair Care and Body Products; Foot care package; Jewellery; Mineral Pot 300 Super Bench Top Filter System and a lot more fantastic giveaways.
The 2010 Castlemaine Health & Wellbeing Expo is not about being New Age or alternative, it’s all about exploring potential possibilities to enliven and promote a happy attitude to life and living which will have a beneficial impact upon your mind, body and spirit. Organisers say it’s a weekend to revitalise your body, open your mind, pamper your heart and feed your soul.
