Just Cause: new episode in development, announces Square Enix


Just Cause will come back with a new episode: revealed it Square Enix as part of the latest financial report, noting that intellectual property will continue to be part of their catalog.

As you no doubt remember, a few weeks ago Embracer Group announced the acquisition of Crystal Dynamics, Eidos Montreal and their IPs, but the Just Cause franchise remained owned by the Japanese publisher.

“We want to focus on creating new titles that support our strategy, including projects related to new intellectual properties,” the document reads. “The Just Cause series will remain a new intellectual property and we are working on a new episode of the franchise.”

Waiting for Just Cause: Mobile, out this year, the return of Rico Rodriguez and of the mechanics that have always characterized Just Cause, therefore absolute freedom and a real open world playground in which to indulge yourself.
