Prince of Persia The Sands of Time Remake has not been canceled, Ubisoft talks about the release

In these hours, a new rumor related to Prince of Persia The Sands of Time Remake according to which the game was canceled. Now, Ubisoft denies this, but confirms that the exit date she’s far. The game will not arrive in fiscal year 2023.

It all started with the fact that some video game retail chains have eliminated the Prince of Persia Sands of Time Remake from the list of pre-orderable games. Ubisoft has therefore released a statement to IGN USA which reads:

“The development of Prince of Persia The Sands of Time Remake will now be handled by Ubisoft Montreal. We are proud of the work done by Ubisoft Pune and Ubisoft Mumbai, and Ubisoft Montreal will benefit from what they have learned, as the new team will continue their work on a great remake. ”This part is identical to an earlier statement.

However, Ubisoft adds: “As a result, we are no longer aiming for release in fiscal 2023 and the game has been removed from reseller lists. If players wish to cancel their Prince of Persia The Sands of Time Remake pre-order they are welcome to contact your reseller. There will be updates on the project as development progresses. ”

This means for the time being there is no release date, or even just a generic period, for Prince of Persia The Sands of Time Remake. The game will come sooner or later.
